Education
During his multimedia studies at FH Salzburg from 2003 to 2008, he explored all aspects of digital work with a deeper dive into animation through various projects using Autodesk Maya, Adobe After Effects, and various stop-motion techniques. Working with physical objects helped him develop a deeper understanding of movement, timing, and how to create emotion through good storytelling.
Diamond Hands Watch Club (NFT), '21 − 2022
In 2021, co-founded Diamond Hands, visually guiding a fully remote team to develop an NFT project. Responsibilities included overseeing all design aspects, from social media content creation to website development.
Fronius Solarweb Platform, '16 − 2021
Among one of the key projects, Roland played a pivotal role in designing Fronius' Solarweb.com, a photovoltaics monitoring platform. His work contributed to the platform’s growth from 40,000 to over 1 million users in just four years besides guiding a small team of UXUI experts.
Multimedia Young Talent State Prize, 2012
After completing my studies and during an eleven month workshop with Amir Kassaei, i was honored among others with a prestigious multi-media young talent award from the Austrian government, recognizing our innovative approach and contributions to the field.
Adobe Design Achievement Awards, 2006
His early promise in design was validated when he reached the semifinals at the Adobe design achievement awards in 2006, which marked his entry into the professional digital design world.
